Your Therapists in Cascais

We are two therapists working from one practice in Cascais. Between us we cover individual work and couples work, and we are usually able to offer you a choice of who you see — which matters more than people expect, particularly for couples.

Why we work from Cascais as well as Lisbon

We split our working week between the two cities — most days in Lisbon, with dedicated time here in Cascais for people living in and around Cascais. It's the newer part of our practice, and one we're actively growing: if you'd rather see us here on a more regular basis, tell us when you get in touch, and we'll do what we can to make the schedule work for you.

Either way, it's the same two therapists, the same way of working, and the same standard of care — just a shorter drive if you're already on this side of the line.

EFT Couples Therapist & Psychologist

I am a licensed psychologist, registered with the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses, and I work with individuals and couples here in Cascais. Registration is not a formality — it is the thing that separates a licensed psychologist from anyone who has simply decided to call themselves one, and I would rather clients ask for the number than take it on faith.

Psychotherapist · Couples Therapist

I trained in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and am a certified member of IEDTA, the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association. I work with individuals and couples, in Lisbon and here in Cascais, mostly with people who are competent in the rest of their life and stuck in one specific place — a relationship, a pattern, a feeling they cannot get underneath on their own.

Choosing between us

For individual therapy, either of us may be the right fit and it is mostly a question of temperament — write to us and say a sentence or two about what you are looking for, and we will suggest who to start with.

For couples, some partners specifically want a therapist of a particular gender in the room, or specifically do not. Say so when you book. It is not an awkward request and we would rather know before the first session than three weeks in.

Where we work from

Praceta Marquês Pombal 1, 2755-247 Cascais. Free parking outside, easy access from the A5 and the N9, roughly ten minutes from Cascais centre and from Estoril. Online sessions available across Portugal.
